RECEIPT · receipt.family · rules as of 8 September 2026

What a receipt is worth, and what stops one.

Every rule the app applies when you photograph a receipt, in the order it applies them. We verify the paper, not the person. There is no link to the store or your bank, so the limits below are what keep the rewards honest.

Live on Robinhood Chain · five brands · rewards are tokenized stock

What pays out

Only receipts from brands whose stock Robinhood issues on Robinhood Chain. Everything else has no stock to give, so it is refused before any reward is counted.

Brands and the stock you receive
Apple, Apple StoreAAPL
Amazon, Whole Foods MarketAMZN
Costco WholesaleCOST
AMC TheatresAMC
GameStopGME
Stock on Solana (xStocks), when switched onMcDonald's → MCD
Coming as their tokens become tradableStarbucks · Nike · Target · Walmart

Solana brands pay the same rule, as tokenized shares delivered to a Solana wallet the user adds on the dashboard; the treasury buys the shortfall on Jupiter the same way it buys on Uniswap. The Robinhood Chain wallet stays the identity: every cap and limit below still applies to it.

How much it pays

Your tier's percentage of the receipt total, paid in that brand's stock, capped by whatever is left of your day. That is the whole rule — there is no welcome bonus, no full match and no minimum. What you hold in $RECEIPT sets both the rate and the day; holding under $100 is Paper, and Paper earns nothing.

Silver · $100 held2%, up to $5 a day

Platinum · $3,000 held7%, up to $100 a day

A worked example. The wallet holds $3,000 of $RECEIPT, so it scans as Platinum: 7% of the total, into a $100 day.

Apple Store · Platinum
MacBook Pro$3,899.00
7% of $3,899.00$272.93
What is left of the day$100.00
REWARD · DELIVERED ON-CHAIN+$100.00 in AAPL = 0.3047 AAPL @ $328.21

The same receipt from a wallet holding under $100 pays nothing at all. A $2.31 coffee at Platinum pays 16¢ — a receipt is worth its rate, however small, and nothing is refused for being under a minimum.

Limits per wallet

All limits are per wallet over a rolling 24 hours. There is no lifetime cap: a wallet that keeps shopping keeps earning.

Every rolling 24 hours
Receipts approvedset by your tier
Earningsyour tier's day, $5 to $200
Uploads attempted12 an hour

A large receipt late in a wallet's day pays less than the rate says: the rate is worked out first, then trimmed to whatever room is left in the day. Forty cents left pays forty cents — the tail of a day is paid rather than refused. Once the day is spent, the next receipt waits for tomorrow.

How a scan is judged

The AI reads the photo and returns the merchant, date, total, receipt number, and a confidence score from 0 to 1 that this is genuine paper. It also flags photos of screens, reprints, and numbers that don't add up. The score and the flags decide what happens next.

Refused

Confidence below 0.2.

Treated as junk, not a borderline case. The user is asked to retake: paper, flat, good light.
Human review

Confidence between 0.2 and the accept line, but nothing flagged.

A person sees the photo, the AI's reasoning, and the wallet's history, then approves up to what the rule allows or rejects with a reason. Anything flagged as a screen photo, reprint, typed mock-up, edit, or a total the items can't produce is refused outright and never reaches a person.
Approved

Confidence 0.2 or higher and clean.

The reward is reserved on the wallet immediately and delivered as stock within about five minutes.

What the user sees when it stops

Every refusal names its reason. These are the exact messages in the scanner.

Confidence under 0.2We couldn't make out a real receipt in that photo. Paper, flat, good light.
Needs a humanWe're checking it. The photo was hard to read, so a person will look.
Our faultWe're offline. followed by the actual cause, for example the vision service being out of credit. The receipt is not used up.

From scan to stock

  1. Connect a wallet on a computer.Robinhood Chain only. The wallet signs one message to prove it's yours; pasting an address is not accepted.
  2. Open the link on a phone. The scanner runs only on a phone camera. A link lives 30 minutes.
  3. Photograph the paper. The photo is stored, fingerprinted, and read by the AI. The fingerprint is kept forever.
  4. The reward is reserved. It shows on the wallet's dashboard at once, with the reason if it was refused.
  5. The treasury buys and delivers.Every five minutes the treasury tops up each stock on Uniswap and transfers the reserved shares to the wallet. Every delivery is a public transaction on Robinhood Chain.

What we don't do

We never contact the merchant, your card, or your bank. A receipt someone else dropped would pass the checks above. That is why rewards are small, capped, and paid on-chain where anyone can audit them, and why the ceiling rises only for wallets that hold $RECEIPT.

Reference prices are a daily snapshot; the share count is fixed at delivery. Rewards are tokenized stock issued by Robinhood on Robinhood Chain, subject to eligibility and region. Nothing here is an offer of securities or investment advice. Brands are references, not partners. Every number on this page is a setting the team can change; this page reflects the values live on 8 September 2026.
