Most questions are answered below. If a scan didn't go the way you expected, the fastest fix is usually right there in the app — see how.
The scanner uses the phone's live camera. Uploads and screenshots are never accepted — that's one of the checks that keeps the rewards honest, since a photo of a photo is easy to fake but a live camera capture is much harder to.
Scanner links last 30 minutes from when you open them on your computer. If it's expired, go back to the wallet connect page and get a fresh link.
If the camera itself won't start, try closing other camera apps, reload the page, and allow camera access when the browser asks.
Lay the receipt flat on a plain surface, fill the frame, and use good light — a shadow across the total is the most common reason a scan fails. Retake rather than crop or edit the photo; any sign of editing gets a receipt refused outright.
No. Every receipt is fingerprinted from its photo, and that fingerprint can only be claimed once, by any wallet, from any angle. A second attempt comes back as Already claimed.
3% of the receipt total, in the matching brand's stock. Full rules, caps and a worked example live on the rules page.
Two ceilings can cut it down: the per-receipt cap ($20, or $100 if the wallet holds enough $RECEIPT), and whatever's left of the wallet's rolling 24-hour $200 limit. The rule is applied first, then whichever ceiling is lower wins.
Only brands whose stock exists as a token pay out. On Robinhood Chain that's Apple, Amazon/Whole Foods, Costco, AMC and GameStop; more are added as Robinhood lists them. A few brands whose stock is issued on Solana instead pay there — see the next question. The current list is on the rules page.
McDonald's stock exists as a token on Solana (Backed's xStocks), so when that rail is switched on, a McDonald's receipt pays the same 3% in MCD stock there — the dashboard lists it under "Paying out now" whenever it's live. The treasury buys the shares and delivers them, exactly like the other brands.
The shares need somewhere to go: add a Solana wallet on your dashboard — connect Phantom, or paste a Solana address. Your Robinhood Chain wallet signs once to confirm it, and it can be changed any time. A reward earned before you've added one simply waits, and is delivered within minutes of you adding it.
Check a pasted address carefully: stock sent to a mistyped address cannot be recovered. Connecting Phantom avoids that, because the address is signed rather than typed. Starbucks stays "coming soon": its token exists but isn't tradable yet, so there's nothing to buy.
A wallet's very first approved receipt pays its first $5 in full, then 3% of whatever's left on that receipt. It only applies once, ever, per wallet.
A reward is reserved on your wallet the moment a receipt is approved. The treasury buys and sends the actual stock roughly every five minutes, so delivery usually lands within about five minutes of approval — you can watch it happen on Robinhood Chain.
Not yet. Reserved means the reward is locked in and counted against your wallet's daily cap; delivered means the tokenized shares have actually been sent to your wallet on-chain. Reserved almost always becomes delivered within minutes.
Yes — connect any wallet and scan from it. Limits and history are tracked per wallet, so switching wallets starts a fresh set of daily limits, but does not let you resubmit a receipt already claimed by another wallet.
If a scan was refused and you're confident the receipt is real, you don't need to email anyone first.
On the result screen, right under the reason it was refused, there's a "Submit for manual review" button.
Tapping it sends the exact photo and reason to a person, who checks it by hand. If it clears, it pays and delivers exactly like a normal approval — you'll see it update on your wallet.A couple of outcomes don't have that button, because there's no single scan to re-check:
The fingerprint check works on the receipt itself, not the wallet — so it also catches a receipt someone else photographed first, or the same paper scanned twice by mistake. If you're certain that's wrong, contact us with roughly when you scanned and what the receipt was for.
Nothing blocks a wallet automatically. Patterns that look like abuse — many wallets from one network, or repeated refusals — send the receipt to a person instead, and you'll see it as "waiting for review". A wallet is only blocked when the team decides so. If you think that's a mistake, contact us with your wallet address.
Most of what support can do, the app can already do faster — the manual-review button above reaches the same people, without the wait. Use email for anything the button doesn't cover: a blocked wallet, a receipt marked as already claimed that shouldn't be, or a delivery that hasn't shown up after a day.
