Lock $RECEIPT for a term and two things happen. Your tier is safe: the tokens count at the price you locked at or today's, whichever is higher, for the whole term. You are VIP: 50 receipts a day, up to a year old, reviewed first — and at Founder, a shop we do not list pays too. Nothing is spent. When the term ends, every token comes back.
A lock sets aside $RECEIPT from your wallet for a fixed term: 3, 7 or 30 days. From the moment the chain confirms it, the locked tokens count toward your tier at the term's rate: every token as one token on a 3-day lock, and as more than one on a longer one. And the price they are valued at can only go up. When the term ends, unlock and the full amount comes back to your wallet.
The longer the term, the more every token counts, and the longer your price is protected.
Side by side: what each term does to the count, and how many $RECEIPT each rung takes on it at today's price. The right-hand column is always the cheapest way up.

Token counts are rounded up and move with the price. Whatever the term, every token comes back when it ends.
Ten things. Four come with a lock worth Silver or more; six come with any lock at all.
Any restaurant, petrol station or supermarket, in the stock of its kind: McDonald's, Exxon or Costco. Not only the listed brands. This one needs the Founder tier, not just a lock.
The VIP count, whatever your tier. Everyone else gets their tier's count.
The drawer you never scanned: anything up to a year old pays. Three months for everyone else.
When a receipt needs a person, yours goes to the front of the queue.
The price at that moment, today's, becomes your lock price for the whole term. If $RECEIPT falls, you still count at it. If it rises, the higher price is used. It does not change until you unlock.
The tier your lock gives you is fixed for the whole term. A dip cannot drop it. Every receipt you scan in the term pays at that tier, with its rate and its caps.
Nothing is sold, swapped or spent. After the term, the full amount returns to your wallet.
Every lock and return is a transaction on Robinhood Chain, on the lock ledger.
A 3-day lock counts 100% of its value toward your tier, 7 days 110%, 30 days 125%.
Unstake before the term ends and everything comes back, no fee. The cashback you earned while locked is yours to keep.
This is the benefit that matters on a bad day. Held tokens are marked to market every day, and a dip can drop your tier. A lock cannot count for less than it did when you made it.
The lock keeps counting at its own price until the term ends. If the price had gone up instead, the lock would count at the new, higher price — the floor only ever works in your favour.
The ladder the app applies today, and how many $RECEIPT each rung takes at today's price. Held, every token counts as one. Locked, it counts at the term's rate and the price cannot move under you.

Token counts are rounded up and move with the price. "Pays" is the cashback rate, then the most a single receipt and a whole day can return.
Three things add up to the dollar figure that sets your rung. They stack.

A lock keeps its own floor: it never counts for less than it was worth on the day you locked it, however the price moves. Your tier itself follows the market. See how tiers work for the ladder itself.
Unlock whenever you like, from the same screen you locked on. What comes back depends on when.
Everything comes back. The full amount is sent to your wallet, no fee, nothing kept. The lock stops counting toward your tier once it is returned.
Everything comes back too. The full amount is sent to your wallet, and the cashback you earned while locked stays yours: it was paid for receipts you really scanned. There is no early fee. The tokens stop counting toward your tier once they are back, so the tier the lock gave you ends with it.
Early or late, all 100,000 come back, and the $50 of stock stays yours.
Sent the transfer but closed the app? It can be claimed as a lock for 24 hours from the same wallet.
Lock $RECEIPT →Terms, rates and the early fee are read live from the server, so this page shows what the app applies today. Locking can be switched off; when it is, the Lock tab is hidden and existing locks still unlock normally. Amounts are in US dollars. Locked $RECEIPT is staked for the term and is not sold or lent. Rewards are tokenized stock: debt securities giving economic exposure to the share price, not ownership. Nothing here is investment advice.
